Delhi ,16th November, 2015: Delhi is all set to witness the exciting cricketing action as Delhi Daredevils, today inaugurated Daredevils School Cup, 4th edition in partnership USA Pears.
Cricket has enjoyed a prominent position in the sporting history of Delhi city which has produced a number of skilled cricketers, who have gone on to achieve great laurels. Delhi Daredevils along with USA Pears partners yet again, for an initiative to promote grassroots cricket and to identify promising cricketing talent from Delhi – NCR.
The 4th edition of the spectacular sport event takes forward Delhi Daredevils commitment to promote a sporting culture and active living across Delhi - NCR. Starting today, Delhi will witness some great cricketing action involving participation from leading cricket teams from across 40 schools in the city.
The entire program is being mentored by Sunil Valson – AVP GMR Sports who wishes all the participating teams all the best and adds that “The Daredevils School Cup is a great opportunity for young sports enthusiasts, as it involves coaching clinics, and sports camps, international exposure and training for selected cricketers”.
Speaking on the association, Mr. Keith Sunderlal, India representative of the USA Pears said, “We are very excited to associate with Delhi Daredevils again this year. Our growers and shippers of USA Pears are delighted to be associated with the Delhi Daredevils School Cup. The inaugural match was played today between The Frank Anthony School and Modern Public School on Modern Barakhamba School Grounds, the power-packed match today kept both the team on their toes, Modern Public school established a huge score of 213 for 20 overs and won the match by 132 runs.
