McGrath thanks pharmacy’s efforts

Delhi Daredevils and cricket legend Glenn McGrath visited a suburban community pharmacy to show his appreciation for their fundraising efforts.

According to www.pharmacynews.com report in Australia media, the staff at Terry White Pharmacy in Stanhope Gardens, NSW were honoured with McGrath’s visit after raising the most funds for the ‘McGrath Foundation' as part of the Blackmores Multis Pink Cap campaign.

The competition involved pharmacies all over Australia decorating their stores pink and conducting fundraising activities for breast cancer awareness.

"I sincerely thank the staff and loyal customers of Terry White, Stanhope Gardens for their support of the McGrath Foundation. Their efforts will contribute to getting breast care nurses into hospitals across Australia," said Glenn.

Store owner Maria Keskeridis, who presented the Foundation with a cheque for $2,200, said pharmacy had a unique role in health awareness and disease prevention.

The fundraising initiative raised more than $24,000 for the McGrath Foundation. Blackmores will continue their support by donating a percentage of every Blackmores Multi product sold to the McGrath Foundation.
