Lee's all-round display gives NSW the inaugural Airtel CLT20 title

Brett Lee made up for the disappointment of his IPL Team Kings XI Punjab not making the Champions League, by playing an all-round role in New South Wales’ 41-run win over Trinidad and Tobago in the inaugural Champions League Twenty20. That helped his side to jackpot of US$ 2.5 million.
It was a great match, with T&T dominating initially, as they reduced NSW to 83 for 6. Then came Lee whose fighting innings lifted his side to a competitive total. Lee made 48 in 31 balls with five sixes and just one four. He was the last man out on the last ball of the innings, which ended at 159 for nine in 20 overs.
Lee then returned for a brilliant spell with the new ball as grabbed two for 10 in two overs.
In many senses the match was decided in the last five over’s of NSW innings when Lee thrashed the Caribbeans and then in the first five of the T&T innings, when Lee broke their backbone.
After Lee’s initial magic with the ball, Steve Smith, Stuart Clarke and Nathan Hauritz kept the pressure and managed to hold the upper hand for NSW. Kieon Pollard threatened once again, but after 26 in 15 balls with three sixes, he holed out to Lee off Hauritz and there ended the challenge.
Pollard went for another six off Hauritz but couldn't clear the boundary, and it was Lee again at long-on who took the catch and settled the issue.
Trinidad's dream run came to a crushing halt, and they had to settle for second prize - US$ 1.3 million.
