Golay Ka Mandir win Coca Cola Cricket Dhamaka in Gwalior
Gwalior: More than 4,000 people turned up on a fine evening to see Golay Ka Mandir win the inaugural Coca Cola Delhi Daredevils Cricket Dhamaka beating Hazira by 20 runs in the final.
Over three days, a total of 16 matches were played in front of crowds of more than 4,000 people each day at the Chatri Bazar Stadium in Gwalior.
The winning team, Golay Ka Mandir was boosted by a fine innings of 37 by Dheeraj Yadav, who adjudged the man of the match for the final.
Earlier in the semi-finals, Golay Ka Mandir beat Lashkar by 27 runs and Hazira beat Taraganj by three wickets.
In the match for third place, Taraganj beat Lashkar by four wickets.
Mr. Jyotiraditya Scindia, MP and President, Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association, who lauded the efforts of Delhi Daredevils to bring a tournament to Gwalior, gave away the prizes.
Mr. Scindia, who also faced deliveries in an exhibition, promised to make the event an annual affair.
