 Tracking the Delhi Daredevils – Jan 10-21, 2009

 
Even as the Indian players in Delhi Daredevils’ squad were getting ready for their domestic and international engagements, Sri Lankan and Delhi Daredevils batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan continued his sparkling form with a well-compiled 79 that not only helped Sri Lanka win the second one-dayer against Pakistan at Karachi, but also helped them level the series at 1-1. Dilshan was also adjudged the Man of the Match. This comes close on the heels of his
 
In the same match, another Daredevils, Shoaib Malik leading Pakistan slammed 54 but was unable to save Pakistan from defeat.
 
Also playing in the same match was another Daredevils, Farveez Maharoof.
 
Elsewhere in Australia, Daredevil’s latest recruit made his one-day debut for Australia close on the heels of Twenty20 debut, where he won the Man of the Match award in his very first game with a 43-ball 89 that won Australia the match.
 
Abraham de Villiers was playing for South Africa, while Daniel Vettori played the fifth and last ODI against West Indies.
 
Meanwhile Indian players led by Delhi Daredevils icon and skipper Virender Sehwag got some well-deserved rest during the period.
